Rex nails the issue with David Steinberg's puzz: There's a tradeoff between thematic density and fill quality. Fair enough to zing the puzz as Rex does for its plethora of junk. But because MetaRex is a contrary sort (and b/c this was a pretty smooth solve--had no idea what was up w/ IRIS-IN, but the crosses were straightforward), I come out the other way. IRIS-IN is kinda cool in itself and has a neat implicit connection to the theme of movies with hyperbole. If the word nobody's heard of had been NISIRI = former Albanian currency or something like that, I'd second and third Rex's and some of the Rexeans' negative reax.
