Whole lotta three-letter words...buncha tabloid headlines here...
The theme is okay and seventy-six words is fine, but Jeffrey Harris wouldn't have had a legit beef if Will had asked him to get rid of the cheaters after GPA and before AAA...that would have made for a prettier grid.
Thx to Rex and to commenter Glimmerglass for helping me understand what I didn't understand about the theme. I'm good with the image of food acting like a finger or fingers and snapping, pointing, and curling. The net effect of people saying GINGER SNAPS doesn't work (need more than one finger--Glimmerglass), TOAST POINTS doesn't work (not a finger food--Glimmerglass again), and CHEESE CURLS doesn't work (curling isn't especially associated with fingers--Rex) was to leave me respecting the theme in a way that I hadn't in my own solve--"I guess all of them are finger foods--cheese curls is kind of cute since those puffy orange things kind of look like fingers."
